General information in English

Welcome to the Boosters!

The Boosters is the student's squash club of Nijmegen. We are proud to welcome you to our club with lots of squash related activities, such as trainings and tournaments, but also with non-squash related activities to have fun and get to know your fellow squash mates better.

Squash with the Booster ranges from occasionally hitting a squash ball, to competitive squashing. Besides the standard one against one squash we also occasionally do doubles.

How do I get started?

You can either sign up immediately by sending an email to the board (, or you can first take a look. Every second Wednesday of the month we have an open club evening from 8 till 11 pm. You can just come to the squash courts of the Radboud Sports Centre and join. If necessary, you can even borrow a racket from us.

When do you offer trainings?

We have the squash courts on the Monday and Wednesday evenings.

Every Monday a training will be led by an experienced trainer of the Sport Centre (Bas Hinten). In the first two sessions (19:00 - 20:15 and 20:15 - 21:30) squashers who play competition have priority and can enroll four weeks in advance. If there is still a spot available at 18:00 on the preceding Wednesday non-competition players can enroll as well. Every player can enroll four weeks in advance for the training in the last session (21:00 – 23:00).

Every first and third Wednesday of the month a training will be organised by (experienced) members of the club from 20:00 till 21:00. For this training, players who don’t play competition have priority. You can sign up for these trainings via this link. Every second Wednesday of the month a open club evening (OCA) will be organised. Everyone is welcome on an OCA, so bring all your friends!
Lastly, every fourth Wednesday of the month a club evening for members will be organised. Occasionally we organise a squash activity, such as a tournament.

Do I have to speak or understand Dutch?

No, even though the website is still largely in English, the rest of our communication is usually both in English and Dutch (please remind us if we forget).  Our trainer also speaks English, so not speaking Dutch is no problem at all.

What other activities are there?

Every third Tuesday of the month we go for some drinks to Bar Ruygh. Usually we also have another non-squash-related activity every month. For example, last year we among other things went bowling, had a BBQ, had a Christmas Dinner, and went to jump the trampolines at Bounz.

Is it possible to see the club before I sign up?

Yes, just swing by at one of the open club evenings which are every second Wednesday of the month. If you are not able to make it to the next open club evening and cannot wait to get started, please sent an email to the board ( and we will see what is possible.

Do I have to be a student to become a member?
