Competition

There are several ways to play squash in a competitive setting.

Squash Federation
There is a competition organized by the Squash Federation. In this competition, players are grouped by playing strength and by region. The higher the level you play at, the larger the region becomes. Playing strength is determined by your results in league matches and official federation tournaments. As an association, we are currently not participating in the federation league. However, several members are members of the Squash Federation in order to take part in federation tournaments. A ranking is also maintained for this. Kleine-Kompetitie
The other competition is the Kleine-Kompetitie. The Boosters have been participating in the Kleine-Kompetitie for many years. This is a regional competition in the south of the Netherlands, Brabant and southern Gelderland, with a wide variety of players, such as students and people who have been playing squash for more than 25 years. The competition consists of multiple divisions. Poule 1 is the highest level, and Poule 6 or 7 are the lowest. The Boosters usually participate with three or four teams in different poules. In principle, there is always a team in a poules that suits your level.

The competition consists of two halves, autumn and spring. The first half runs from October through February. The second half starts in March and ends in May or June. Promotion and relegation can take place between the two halves.

Each team currently consists of at least three players. A team may consist of more than three players and rotate players. All matches are played on Friday evenings, approximately once every three weeks. Each player plays two matches per evening. An evening starts around 20:00 and, depending on how quickly matches are played, ends no later than 23:00, after which there is often time to socialize. The playing location depends on where the home team is based. This could be, for example, Uden, Eindhoven, or Nijmegen. These locations are reachable within one hour by car or 1,5h by public transport.
